Sometimes it has helped us to cnghae the flea prevention product from time to time. I have also noticed a lack of efficacy with products that worked well before. When I notice this, I switch to another product for the next time and then I've also gone back to Frontline.Products I've used include Advantage, Advantix, Frontline and BioSpot. My dogs are not sensitive to any of these products and I do not combine them.It also helps me to bathe the dogs about three days before applying the product and then about three weeks after applying. This is the summer season (at least where I live) and it's often when fleas and more plentiful. sometimes it helps to treat the environment as well. There are some lawn and garden products for outdoors to treat lawns for fleas, ticks and other insects. (Posted on 11/7/12)

You're not using Advantix on your CATS are you? It's very toxic for them! If you check the box it will say strictly dogs only, there's a chaimcel in it that cats can't handle.Since you've got cats I would stick to Frontline. They're both good, they both treat fleas and ticks, but there's no point buying two different brands plus I wouldn't really even want my cats near dogs who had Advantix on them.Frontline Plus is probably the best since it has an added ingredient that also kills flea larvae and eggs, something that neither regular Frontline or Advantix does.Chalice (Posted on 11/6/12)
